Professor St.John is one of my favorite professors so far at SSU. This is the 2nd semester I have had her as my professor. She is so understanding inside and out of class and is always encouraging students to come to her office hours. She connects with her students not only through the curriculum but also personally. She is so interesting to listen to and her passion for teaching and protecting the environment is contagious. I have found no weak aspects in her teaching nor in the course.

I really enjoyed lab with Wendy, she was so helpful, honest and knowledgeable, it made lab a fun part of my day. It was such a relief and good contrast to lecture, helping me to better understand topics. This bio lab has been by far, one of my favorites, and a lot of that I owe to Wendy, she is such an enthusiastic teacher, I really enjoyed being a part of her section.

This was a great course. The instructor articulately and enthusiastically presented every lecture using very helpful and well organized PowerPoint presentations. You could tell how much she cared about the subject and the students, and she made every effort to help us understand difficult concepts and to stimulate interest. She made it very clear that she was willing and able to help if anyone ever needed it and was very effective in this area. The homework and tests were fair, and an excellent effort was made to help students prepare and succeed. Keep up the good teaching!

I took this class thinking it was just going to fulfill a GE but I actually really liked it. I may even want to pursue taking a different course related to this field. It was really eye opening to see how the world is affected by us and how we do things, such as litter, drive our gas-filled cars, and how we just keep buying plastic reusable bags and then throwing them out instead of REUSING them, like we should. Anyways Wendy St. John was very passionate about this subject which made it more easier to learn about and focus on for lecture. Overall, I think this class was super fun and I am glad I went out on a whim and took this in the first place.

Thank you for taking the time for helping me improve in my biological skills. This is my second time taking this course, and you have profoundly encouraged me to pursue on fighting through, in spite of my differences and pace.

Sonoma State and the Biology department are so lucky to have Wendy St. John on their bill. She is so full of zest for not only Biology, but for life! And it is so infectious! More often than not did I find myself cracking up at Wendy’s loony demeanor and I wish more people could be like this! Personally, I am not a science girl and did not thrive in this biology curriculum. But, it was so much greater with Wendy as my teacher. Love her. All the raises to her!!!

Professor St. John is probably my favorite professor. I look forward to going to class because of her. She is the nicest, most understanding professor I have had. The way she displays the information is very effective and her enthusiasm and humor make me enjoy learning the material. Give this lady a raise or something because she is amazing!! I came into this class not confident that I would do well on the tests and I have an average of 98% on tests because of her.

Ms. St John is probably one of the best professors here at Sonoma State University. She was very thorough and clear with all her assignments. Her slides were engaging and class was never boring. She gave us study guides and helped us prepare for exams way before they happened. Always made herself available to students whenever she was free. Thank you for being a great teacher.

I loved Wendy. She is an amazing bubbly person who I really enjoyed talking with. I love Biology and she made my experience most memorable for my college time. She is hilarious and I enjoyed every time going to class and watching her lecture.
