Wendy is a great professor she brings a fun energy that is missing from many of my classes. She engages in material and makes it relevant to me. It seems to me that she really cares about her students and prides herself in her work. I think she has the perfect balance of work and play. All in all great professor!

Professor St.John is one of my favorite professors so far at SSU. This is the 2nd semester I have had her as my professor. She is so understanding inside and out of class and is always encouraging students to come to her office hours. She connects with her students not only through the curriculum but also personally. I took this class thinking it was just going to fulfill a GE but I actually really liked it. I may even want to pursue taking a different course related to this field. It was really eye opening to see how the world is affected by us and how we do things, such as litter, drive our gas-filled cars, and how we just keep buying plastic reusable bags and then throwing them out instead of REUSING them, like we should. Anyways Wendy St. John was very passionate about this subject which made it more easier to learn about and focus on for lecture. Overall, I think this class was super fun and I am glad I went out on a whim and took this in the first place.

It was such a relief and good contrast to lecture, helping me to better understand topics. Over all she’s great and would take a class with her again and recommend her class to everyone.

This was a great course. The instructor articulately and enthusiastically presented every lecture using very helpful and well organized PowerPoint presentations. You could tell how much she cared about the subject and the students, and she made every effort to help us understand difficult concepts and to stimulate interest. Wendy St. John was an amazing teacher, she was able to make the class really entertaining, especially for a lecture class. People were always able to interject their thoughts about what was being said and would be greeted with a well thought out answer. This class was made simple by how thorough she was and her homework assignments really reinforced what happened in class. I would love to have this teacher in the future.

Sonoma State and the Biology department are so lucky to have Wendy St. John on their bill. She is so full of zest for not only Biology, but for life! And it is so infectious! More often than not did I find myself cracking up at Wendy’s loony demeanor and I wish more people could be like this! The way she displays the information is very effective and her enthusiasm and humor make me enjoy learning the material. Give this lady a raise or something because she is amazing!!
