Wendy St. John is one of the best professors I’ve ever had. She is excited to be teaching and goes out of her way to know each and every student. She is the most interactive and personal professor. More often than not did I find myself cracking up at Wendy’s loony demeanor and I wish more people could be like this! This was a great course. The instructor articulately and enthusiastically presented every lecture using very helpful and well organized PowerPoint presentations. You could tell how much she cared about the subject and the students, and she made every effort to help us understand difficult concepts and to stimulate interest. The homework and tests were fair, and an excellent effort was made to help students prepare and succeed. Keep up the good teaching!

I took this class thinking it was just going to fulfill a GE but I actually really liked it. I may even want to pursue taking a different course related to this field. It was really eye opening to see how the world is affected by us and how we do things, such as litter, drive our gas-filled cars, and how we just keep buying plastic reusable bags and then throwing them out instead of REUSING them, like we should. Anyways Wendy St. John was very passionate about this subject which made it more easier to learn about and focus on for lecture. Overall, I think this class was super fun and I am glad I went out on a whim and took this in the first place.

Wendy St. John has been one of the best professors I have had so far at SSU. She is very engaging, and has interesting topics, and helps make boring subjects, interesting.

Sonoma State and the Biology department are so lucky to have Wendy St. John on their bill. She is so full of zest for not only Biology, but for life! And it is so infectious! More often than not did I find myself cracking up at Wendy’s loony demeanor and I wish more people could be like this! Personally, I am not a science girl and did not thrive in this biology curriculum. But, it was so much greater with Wendy as my teacher. Love her. All the raises to her!!!

Professor St. John is probably my favorite professor. I look forward to going to class because of her. She is the nicest, most understanding professor I have had. The way she displays the information is very effective and her enthusiasm and humor make me enjoy learning the material. Give this lady a raise or something because she is amazing!! I came into this class not confident that I would do well on the tests and I have an average of 98% on tests because of her.

Ms. St John is probably one of the best professors here at Sonoma State University. She was very thorough and clear with all her assignments. Her slides were engaging and class was never boring. She gave us study guides and helped us prepare for exams way before they happened. Always made herself available to students whenever she was free. Thank you for being a great teacher.
